I got mine in the mail two days ago, and finally I've got some time to try it out... My biggest concern woud be that it produces an audible click or pop when enabling/disabling loops (like my expensive Morley A/B/Y switcher does...) But that's not the case at all... It's really, REALLY silent! And I quickly loved the fact that the switches are positioned closely together so that it's possible to switch adjacent loops simultaneously... So now I use it as a poor-man's clean/dirty switcher as well :)
This switcher only has one small problem, but that's not specific for this single one, but a common problem with these kind of boxes: the connectors in the back are only suitable for straight jacks, but I prefer L-shaped jacks in my pedals... So, now I'll have to order some connectors and build my own patch cables... But that's all part of the guitar playing hobby I guess.
So, here a small list with features I like:
- tuner output (keeps your shitty Boss TU-2's out of the loop, hehe). I really wouldn't recommend buying LoopMaster switchboxes without one!
- the boxes look really nice; very sturdy
- it's a great that you can choose custom LED colors... Especially when playing dark stages. In hindsight it might have been a smarter choice to throw in more color variation (I chose green-green-green-green-red)
- the unit was shipped with adequate packaging
Ok, typed enough for today... I'm gonna play my guitar some more now!
Cheers!
